Also known as: Strawberry Dall, Desert Sand, Champagne, and Cinnamon Dall

Early on
The name Texas Reds comes from the Zinsmeyer farm, near Uvalde, Tx. The more common term was Strawberry Dall, but when we decided to start raising them, we stuck with the Zinsmeyer name as it seems to be more marketable and we breed specifically for a darker coat color, so we find it fitting.
Current
Our current flock has a storied passed which will be written about in the future. All our ewes come from the same breeder which is currently confidential, and our males comes from top names in the industry. Cigar was a Jenschke breeder before he went to Dax Dittrich – Shane Sanders – Trapper Ensor. Our other males come from a collection of breeders, but the 2 were keeping our eye on is J07 bred by Bar D Rams (Dax), and the other is from Shane Sanders. This flock is our main focus and gets most of our investment dollars when it comes to advanced breeding.
